HWGYF is a volunteer managed organization. All participating families are required to volunteer for two or more tasks at a home game or event (unless you opt out during registration by selecting the buy-out option).
HWGYF uses an on-line sign-up system to select spots. Should a parent not be available for their assignment they should contact the Volunteer Manager or team parent for reassignment to another date. Remember it is an obligation of both Football and Cheerleading parents to volunteer as part of their son or daughter participating in H-W Generals Youth Football and Cheerleading.
Team Parent: The Head Coach for each team and squad will select a volunteer to serve as the team parent. Team parent responsibilities include: (1) serving as a general resource for parent questions; (2) soliciting Friends and Family donations from your team/squad; and (3) helping the Overall Volunteer Coordinator find helpers for concession, set-up, and clean-up on game days.
VOLUNTEERS SHOULD REPORT 1/2 HOUR BEFORE GAME TIME FOR YOUR ASSIGNMENT. FIELD SET UP begins 1 hour before the start of the first game.
